Tara Nott, 26, of Aberystwyth, was sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on February 27. Her barrister said the sentence “takes us back a bit”.

Nott, of Beaconsfield Avenue, Beaconsfield, had pleaded guilty to theft of less than £25,000 from Anz Bank and Anz bank branch near Bexhill and Penge, near Bexhill, in 2012.

The maximum sentence handed down by Judge Kevin Sheahan was two-and-a-half years jail, suspended for 10 years.
