8.19am: The man has been located on a beach on the west coast of Tasmania, police say.

They say the man’s wallet has been recovered from the water, and it had a lock of hair and jewellery inside.

The man was last seen wearing dark shoes and a dark shirt.

Officers say the man is a white male, about five foot seven and 170cm tall, with black hair and hazel eyes.

Investigation continues.

8.06am: A man found dead in Southport on Sunday has been named as Michael Anthony Deakin, 58. Police say they are investigating.
